As we clean out lockers for the season and say goodbye to our College, Highschool and Youth Hockey teams, we are preparing for our "off-season". Why they call it that I'll never know because its actually very busy as we schedule & plan for the upcoming year, perform maintenance we have put off during the hockey season, run our summer dek hockey programs and adult leagues and get the garden ready for another season of weddings and concerts.  As we head towards summer here are some of the things that we hope you can come and be a part of this year;

New England Sled Hockey Tournament:    April 28-30

Dek Hockey and Summer Hockey Leagues:   May thru Sep

Kevin Major Memorial Tournament:    11-13 August

Musical Moments Tuesday Evening Concerts: June thru August

Enjoy your summer and hopefully we'll see you around the rink!

Our History

Amelia Park Ice Arena is a sports complex and memorial garden, financed by the late philanthropist Albert F. Ferst. Throughout their lifetimes, the Fersts made it a priority to support family, community, and youth programs.
The Albert & Amelia Ferst Operating Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit entity was formed in 1998, with the expressed purpose of building this recreational facility. In 2000, Amelia Park Ice Arena became a reality but unfortunately, Millie passed away before it was completed. The Family responded by developing and building a beautiful 1.3 acre memorial garden next to the rink in her name. This garden has become a favorite spot for people throughout the region to come and enjoy free concerts, community activities and weddings.

The main building is a 47,000 square foot facility that includes an NHL sized ice rink with seating for 600; a figure skating lounge; three party rooms; a skate rental and sharpening area; four locker rooms and a food concession area. A 65′ x 170′ outside inline skating rink is located next to the main building.
